In this video Sara Nysom Christiansan demonstrates how to use compare assist in an arthritis patient.
The following steps will allow you to enter compare assist on the ultrasound machine:
1. Enter the patient ID
2. Create a new exam
3. Press the scan button to enter scan mode
4. Select the compare assist tool
The split screen shows the prior examination on the left hand side of the screen and the current exam on the right hand side of the screen. The ultrasound machine will automatically adjust all of the parameters including the gain, depth, focus and PRF so that they are in comparable mode.
You will then be able to accurately compare the examinations side by side and determine a course of action.
