Dr. Philip Johnston

Philip has been a Consultant in Endocrinology and Diabetes in the Belfast Trust (Belfast City Hospital and Royal Victoria Hospital) since 2014.  Prior to taking up his post in Belfast, he undertook a one year clinical fellowship in Endocrinology at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA, where he learnt the technique of thyroid ultrasound with Dr Christian Nasr. He has Level 1 BTA (British Thyroid Association) certification in the use of Thyroid Ultrasound and routinely uses this technology as point of care (POCUS) in his outpatient clinics.
